The Temple Owls look to extend their winning streak to 12 games on Saturday night when they visit Big 5 rival St. Joe's in an Atlantic 10 Conference bout. (7 p.m., ESPN U)
Temple (22-5, 11-2) has not lost in more than a month and a half after earning its 11th consecutive win on Wednesday against La Salle, 80-79 in overtime. The Owls barely, who were paced by Micheal Eric's 18 points and 12 rebounds, survived their first test since entering the top 25 for the first time this season when La Salle missed two potential game-winners on the final possession of the extra session.
St. Joe's (18-11, 8-6) has won three out of four, but dropped a 52-49 decision Wednesday against Richmond. The Hawks are led by Carl Jones (16.1 points) and Langston Galloway (15.5).
