The Temple Owls clinched the Atlantic 10 regular season title on Saturday, with a 20 point victory over the Fordham Rams.
The Owls rolled over Fordham behind identical-scoring halves, where Temple scored 40 and the Rams scored 30. Temple guard, Juan Fernandez, was the game's leading scorer with 19 points. Michael Eric, Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, Ramone Moore and Khalif Wyatt all scored in double figures as well.
Temple has now won 13 of their last 14 games, came into the game ranked 25th in the country and is projected to be a four seed in the NCAA Tournament. They will play out the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament as the one seed, but should be a relatively high seed in the Big Dance, regardless. St. Joe's, Richmond and Dayton are the only three Atlantic 10 teams to defeat Temple this season – something to keep an eye on in the Conference Tournament.
