Atlantic 10 Tournament 2012, La Salle Vs. Richmond Final Score: Explorers Pull Away From Spiders After Halftime

The La Salle Explorers led by as many as 15 points in the second half of Tuesday's 2012 Atlantic 10 Tournament game. The Richmond Spiders scored a flurry of points late to make the final score closer, but the Explorers won 80-72 to advance to the tournament's second round.

La Salle got a lot of help from many different contributors. Ramon Galloway led the way as he has often this season with 17 points, adding seven rebounds and eight assists. Devon White came off the bench to pitch in 13 points, thanks to a 9-for-11 performance from the free throw line. Earl Pettis had 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field.

For the game, the Explorers held the Spiders to 41.8 percent shooting from the field and 5-for-21 from beyond the 3-point arc, while shooting 50 percent and 8-of-17 from long range. They will tip off against the 2-seed St. Louis Billiken at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday.
