The La Salle Explorers fell to the St. Louis Billikens in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship in Atlantic City on Friday night by a score of 78-71, knocking them out of the tournament. The Billikens will now advance to the conference semifinals where they will play the Xavier Musketeers-Dayton Flyers game. That game is set to begin on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The Explorers were led by Earl Pettis, who scored 18 points against the Billikens on Friday night. Ramon Galloway added 14 points and Tyreek Duren chipped in 13 points as well. The Billikens were led by Mike McCall Jr., who scored 16 points, while Kwamain Mitchell chipped in 15 and Jordair Jett came off the bench to chip in 13 points.
