Former Temple SG Dionte Christmas Signs With Houston Rockets.

A true feel-good story has come out on Monday, as former Temple Owls shooting guard Dionte Christmas has finally gotten his foot in the door of the NBA. Christmas went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft following four strong seasons at temple and has spent the past three years playing for various teams in Europe while attempting to make it to the big time. Now it seems his ship has finally come in.

Christmas announced on his Twitter feed on Monday that he will be signing with the Houston Rockets. Christmas' closest brushes with the NBA prior to this came after he went undrafted in 2009. He was invited to summer league teams by the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers that year. The 76ers signed Christmas in September, but waived him less than a month later.

During his four seasons at Temple, Christmas averaged 15.7 PPG and 4.4 RPG. He was named as a first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference player in 2009, as well as winning the Most Outstanding A-10 Player that year.
