St. Anthony's product Josh Brown has recommitted to Temple after initially deciding he would reconsider his college choices in June.
The three-star point guard from Newark was considering Rhode Island, Penn State and Providence, but announced that he would reaffirm his earlier decision to play for the Owls on Monday.
"I'll be a Temple Owl," Brown said in the SNY studio Monday. "I can't wait to go down there and play in the backcourt with Quenton DeCosey, Will Cummings and Daniel Dingle. I also get a chance to be coached by one of the most underrated coaches, coach Fran Dunphy and his staff. And I'm going to be in Philly, a great place to be."
Brown's decision had sentimental value as well, as his late mother attended Temple.
Brown has won a pair of New Jersey state championships at St. Anthony's and won five events this summer on the AAU circuit. It's a recruiting win for Dunphy, who will need all the help he can get as the school enters the Big East basketball fray for the first time in 2013.
