When the Temple Owls take on the Maryland Terrapins this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field, they may be short-handed at tailback as Montel Harris may not be available to play. The senior transfer from Boston College has been slowed by a sore hamstring and Owls head coach Steve Addazio isn't taking any chances according to a Philly.com report:
"This is not a serious thing right now or anything," Temple coach Steve Addazio said during Monday's Big East coaches teleconference. "But you know what happens [and that] is these things are nagging when you are a running back or a skill player."
Harris strained his hamstring in last Saturday's season opening victory against Villanova. He was forced to sit out the second half of the game after gaining just 12 yards on five carries. He has since been listed as day-to-day.
