Almost all of the Philly area college basketball teams are in action this weekend.
The Saint Joseph's Hawks (10-3) will play No. 23 Harvard Crimson (11-1) on Saturday at 4 p.m. Harvard is on a three-game win streak and has made 53.5% of their three point attempts during the streak. St. Joe's enters the game on a five-game win streak. The Hawks are led by the 18.5 ppg of Carl Jones.
The Villanova Wildcats (7-6) look for the first win in Big East play against the No. 13 Marquette Golden Eagles (11-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m. Villanova fell 83-69 in their first Big East game to West Virginia. Marquette was stunned by Vanderbilt, 74-57, in their last outing. Maalik Wayns leads the Wildcats with 17.6 ppg.
The Penn Quakers (6-7) travel to play the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils (10-1) on Sunday at 5 p.m. The Quakers are 2-3 in their last five games. Duke has won their last three games. Senior guard Zach Rosen leads Penn with 19.7 ppg (22nd in the nation).
