The Villanova Wildcats look to build on their most recent victory on Saturday afternoon against the St. John's Red Storm at Madison Square Garden.

Villanova has gone through a number of growing pains this season but prevailed for an 84-76 home victory against Seton Hall on Wednesday. Maalik Wayns had 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds Wednesday and teammate JayVaughn Pinkston added 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Wildcats built an early lead and maintained the cushion for most of the game.

St. John's has lost three straight, including a 64-49 decision at South Florida on Wednesday. The Red Storm are led by Moe Harkless, who averages 15.6 points and 8.4 rebounds, D'Angelo Harrison (14.6 points) and God'sgift Achiuwa (11.6 points).

Saturday's game is the 105th meeting between the two storied programs. St. John's holds a 60-44 advantage in the series, but Villanova has won six of the last seven.
