Former Villanova Wildcats basketball star Allan Ray is reportedly heading overseas to play professionally in Germany according to VU Hoops:
Sportando reported this morning on Twitter that Villanova alumnus Allan Ray had been signed by Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, where he will play this season. Ratiopharm finished second in the German Basketball Bundesliga, last season and ended third in the German Cup competition.
"I am highly motivated and want to show in Ulm, that I can play better than last year," Ray said on the team's official website.
Ray had a brief stint in the NBA with the Boston Celtics back in 2006-07, but never stuck. Despite appearing in 47 games that year, that ended up being the only NBA season when he saw any action. He was a star at Villanova, but will now turn to Germany to continue his career.
